Whilst poking at CL these crazy expensive convertibles caught my eye. One is beautiful, the other...not so much.

Which would you choose?

The Tiger, a guy near me has a totally unrestored white one, its  pretty cool.

If i wanted the ford. I’d buy a shell/kit and do it myself. The Sunbeam, however, is a dream and i would cherish it forever (but I don’t think I would fit in it comfortably, so it may be a masochists love story). Thanks for the dilemma !

The deuce has no room, I’ve been in one. I’d fit better in the Tiger, which I’d prefer anyway. Funny that the Ford doesn’t have a Ford drivetrain. So really, I’d be choosing a Ford if I picked the Tiger.

I think this would be a much better impractical Ford convertible.

Id pick the ford just so I can change those awful wheels to something scaled properly.

I have nothing against hotrods, and I don’t really see much wrong with that one other than the fact that the mods are pretty unimaginative. It’s a very basic hotrod. I’m pretty sure that take on the hotrod formula has been done hundreds of times already. But if it’s a genuine 32 Ford, it would be worth the money to buy it and mod it to be more interesting. 32 Fords in general are hard to come by these days. Sunbeam Tigers are cool, but overpriced. I mean... It’s cool that it’s a British roadster with a Ford V8, but it’s not 61 grand cool, and most of them seem to sell for around that much. If I wanted something like that, I could buy some cheap MGB and drop a 289 in it for a fraction of the price and get mostly the same experience.
